I'm a cheap mechanic when it comes to car repairs. I used to just install a heavy steel soup can with big hose clamps and maybe some kind of exhaust pipe wrap if my exhaust got noisy. Living in the Rust Belt is an annual challenge. I've bought 4 tubes of this stuff and so far it's working great! It acts like a paste but hardens after about half an hour. Then just bake it by doing a few laps on the freeway (heating the exhaust to fully cure the stuff). No rattling of scrap metal, repairing large cracks and small holes. I have used this material to repair muffler holes, cracked flanges and large holes in resonators. Taking your time and applying a good thick coat + exhaust pipe wrap over it can save you hundreds on exhaust pipe repairs. It holds up great, but over time the compound cracks from the vibration and movement of the exhaust system. Highly recommend if you need a quick fix to calm your ride and provide peace and quiet while driving. Not a permanent solution obviously, but if you're doing maintenance/repair yourself then this is a great product to have on hand, as is JB weld or Gorilla Glue. but for extreme temperatures!
