Not suitable for fillers, adhesives and sealants

After cleaning and processing according to the instructions, worked for about 40 minutes and then tore and fell off. High temperature gasket material is best for exhaust ports.

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Wrong for sealant

I used this to seal the exhaust where I put the clamp on the leak. The clamp didn't fit, so he left a small hole. I used it and left it for about 20 hours. Unfortunately I didn't seal the hole.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great for DIYers when you can't or don't want to weld it.

Used to ensure a good seal between the X-pipe and the rest of the exhaust. Squeeze the 1/4" bead around the straight tube, slide the X-tube over the straight tube and clamp the whole thing in place. When it dries, it hardens like a metal weld. Works perfectly.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So far so good

Heavy Duty for sealing flanges

seems to be successful compared to others but it worked for me. My catalytic converter had 1/3 of the bolt broken so I used it to seal the flange and even at 7000rpm there were no leaks or bursts. It dries like cement but is easy to clean when it needs to be resealed. I sealed the flange just in front of the oxygen sensor, the engine light didn't come on but it smokes and smells a bit, but when it first warms up it goes away after a few miles.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Some minor things

EARNED - - - - -5 NEGATIVE

Total bullshit. The quality is in no way inferior to cement, it is brittle and does not stick to metal. It doesn't harden for days, when I started the engine an hour later the gases blew it away like it was a piece of cheese. Does not withstand loads and vibrations, cracks after a few hours. If you have a dime-sized hole in your muffler, it will likely clog it for a while, but nothing more serious. It is not clear where these positive reviews come from. Don't fall for them or you will suffer…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Volume

The product works and is holding up well.

My car's exhaust system had a small hole in the flange seam. Of course the hole was on the muffler side and I would have had to replace a perfectly good muffler for a few hundred bucks. Viewed this product and read recommendations from other users. Tried it for the lowest price. I sealed the hole and followed the curing instructions. I took the car on a long journey, drove it on bumps and rough roads. The outside temperature was about 30 degrees and the next morning the night was frozen. Driven

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Generally OK, but...

Passed inspection

I had a hole (seam) in the exhaust where the factory flexible pipe was rusting. I bought a new flex pipe and installed it. My port welder was unable to seal the leak at the pipe joint. Called the local exhaust dealer and they couldn't reach me for 2 weeks. At the end of the month I needed an exam and bought 3 tubes of it. I sanded everything down to bare metal and dampened it with water, then glued 3 pipes together with a 3" exhaust yoke and exhaust sleeve. Waited 2 hours, drove 40 minutes. 3…

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • there are problems

Inexpensive exhaust repair.

I'm a cheap mechanic when it comes to car repairs. I used to just install a heavy steel soup can with big hose clamps and maybe some kind of exhaust pipe wrap if my exhaust got noisy. Living in the Rust Belt is an annual challenge. I've bought 4 tubes of this stuff and so far it's working great! It acts like a paste but hardens after about half an hour. Then just bake it by doing a few laps on the freeway (heating the exhaust to fully cure the stuff). No rattling of scrap metal, repairing large
