The part ripped in half the first time the trailer was removed. I'm lucky that I didn't lose my tyre. Update: Libra sent me a replacement. It was easy and they didn't charge me anything. I hope the last one was a defect that the new one doesn't have. Thanks for the replacement!

Not for heavy trailers. My 14k trailer frame is too big to use this spare tire connector. In the end all that was left to do was weld. The 8-track wheel fits perfectly. I would use a teflon lock nut or washer with lock washer for the two bolts holding the wheel. Appears to be well built

Great product overall. I have six camper rims. The mount is strong enough for her. Some have complained about the powder coating chipping on arrival, I don't see that. After mounting it on the RV and installing the tire, I welded the studs in place to make it easier to install and remove the tire. It's heavy and well made, doesn't rattle on me and seems to be holding up well.

1/2" bolts are too short so I resort to giant U-clamps to attach them to the bumper. There are NO instructions in the box, so all you have to do is install it on your devices. Luckily I've installed others before, so I'm sure I "made it" with my own mounting hardware. Also, the nuts provided for attaching replacement parts are NOT lug nuts which will scratch the rim when tightened. So DO NOT use them on Aluminum/Mag wheels. :(

I bought this to store a spare tire for my boat. After a boat/trailer ride, I found that the bracket had snapped and the entire assembly was somehow still attached to the trailer frame. Despite mixed reviews, I took a chance. It did not work. I installed it on the tongue of a cargo trailer with a 15" spare attached. I took it on a ride that was only a few hundred miles long, all on a paved highway. When I got there I inspected the bracket only to find that it was completely bent and twisted. First pluses. It seems to be made well enough and the price is right. I've been looking for a holder that fits a 5.5" 5 tab template for a long time but without much success until I found this one. However, it doesn't specifically say it will fit a 5-stud wheel, so there's another plus. Installation is obvious, so those who have complained about the lack of installation instructions should probably ask someone to install it for them. Now a scam.
