Despite mixed reviews, I took a chance. It did not work. I installed it on the tongue of a cargo trailer with a 15" spare attached. I took it on a ride that was only a few hundred miles long, all on a paved highway. When I got there I inspected the bracket only to find that it was completely bent and twisted. It was high enough that the tire couldn't touch the ground. She simply buckled in while the trailer rolled up and down on its own suspension. Very thin! I also noticed that the welds looked pretty flimsy. And of course they began to separate and rust. I only installed this for about 30 days, in one of the driest years on record, with a rain or two while it was installing. On the plus side I contacted the seller and he refunded my money. I will pay much more attention to ratings, design and price for my next spare wheel holder attempt. Don't try the super cheap option again.
