Review on πŸͺ Bake IT Sugar Storage Container - 10.2 cup/2.4L, Clear/White - with Measuring Cup by Mayra Castillo

Love it! Good for 5 pounds of flour if stored in a bag.

Just bought my 3rd Sistema 13.7 cup (3.25 liter) for flour storage. My way of easily getting 5 pounds of flour in a container is to store the flour in a bag. If you buy in bulk, it's less useful. As others have pointed out, in this case you'll need to press the flour down to pick up more.- Take the *unopened* bag of flour and set it aside. - Place the bag in the container. - Open the bag. Perfect for King Arthur bags. Bob's Red Mill is a little tricky, but it works. Flour is easier to scoop than pour, so storing it in a bag doesn't affect functionality for me. I don't have to label the container either. I empty the open pouch that is in the bin before adding another one. Pouring flour from the bag into the container introduces air and increases the size of the flour pile. That's why bakers weigh flour instead of measuring it by volume in a measuring cup. Volume is unreliable. I love that it's easy to grab thanks to the molded handle. They're tight enough for me, but I live in an arid climate. The scoop is good but not suitable until you use some flour. I am so pleased with it that I ordered a size 10 sugar cup.
