Review on 🐠 UPETTOOLS Electric Aquarium Gravel Cleaner: Automatic Vacuum Water Changer, Sand & Algae Cleaner, Filter Changer - 110V/28W by Beth Wilson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Strong suction, multiple useful attachments, wash thoroughly before using in the aquarium

Item comes in a box showing contents, so be careful when you are careful want to note this when you place an order. All individually wrapped, neatly and securely packed. I saw in another review that the instructions were not in English although the instructions ARE in English but from the words it is a bit confusing to set up and assemble at first. The best advice I can give is to just look at the photos of the vacuum cleaner layout. This will show you what parts were. It's pretty easy once you understand how it's supposed to look and work, but the instructions are useless. The material has a very strong gas/oil smell as it comes from the factory so I strongly recommend buyers to wash it before using it in your established aquarium. . Just in case there's still some factory grease left on it or something. I didn't see any lube or anything, but it smelled like it. I soak everything in water and rinse with safe dish soap before use. The nice thing is that the handle comes with multiple extensions to make the vacuum cleaner handle longer or shorter depending on your needs. I felt comfortable cleaning both the 10 gallon and 55 gallon tanks. The shower accessory is best used in a smaller basin when it is designed to spray water above the waterline. When used in deeper tanks, the shower effect is completely submerged. There's also good pressure control on the shower head so it more or less sprays. The vacuum cleaner isn't too loud, which is a good thing, and it sucks really well. Aside from the instructions being a bit confusing, when I opened the vacuum I could smell a kind of greasy/oily smell. I think it was most likely from the factory because it had an industrial smell. I would wash all parts and vacuum in the sink before introducing it to your established aquarium. I washed mine with mild dish soap and the little one was gone. The item wasn't dirty or greasy or anything but the smell was quite strong. In addition, I am very satisfied with the product and encourage the purchase! Makes aquarium maintenance much easier and faster! Haven't tried all of the attachments that come with it, but I love that it comes with a sand attachment to keep the sand clean. I think this vacuum cleaner is someone's smart design.
