The mount itself works great, is easy to adjust and screws right into the camera. If you use your phone to create videos, you need a separate phone app. Also, it's more than likely that your car's dashboard isn't smooth enough for the suction to work. So you need a separate round piece that sticks to your dash and then the camera mount sticks to that. I saw a youtube video showing how all this could work and that was the only reason I knew to buy the bundled mount, but it worked great. Plus, I can easily remove the mount and it fits in the glove box when I'm not using it.
