I feed a group of feral cats that hang around my house. I noticed in early spring (I think it was March) that one of them had a lot of discharge from her eyes, and they were so swollen the poor thing couldn't see. I could tell from her movements that she wasn't feeling well, and cats are usually pretty tough. I didn't think she would survive because it made her so vulnerable and hampered her ability to hunt. I started adding lysine to the food she took me and after a week her eyes became clearer. Another cat lost a lot of hair over the winter and had a few bald patches, and now her coat is thick and healthy. All wild cats were given lysine as I couldn't be sure that only the sick one would get it. Fast forward to now, the end of summer, and all of the feral cats that are receiving lysine are doing very well. The improvement in their overall appearance is very noticeable, they have gained some much needed weight, their entire coat is shiny and soft and there are no more problems with their eyes. I add it to their meal daily as a service.
