I was a bit apprehensive about this lock at first. I wanted something for my side window next to my front door that would be easy to install and durable, but would also block people outside from seeing but still get plenty of sun but also allow me to look outside so I knew if I was should hide from those on my porch. I know it's asking a lot. BUT this holding and design accomplished ALL of the above! So very happy with it. Also, I have enough left over to do the bottom half of the kitchen window and the bottom half of the bathroom window. So I definitely recommend this product. An extra tip: I have a family that literally takes their shoes off, and I have a cat that sits by the window by the door trying to catch bugs outside. (Yes, I told him that he wouldn't catch them, but he doesn't listen - typical kid 😉) Of course, I was afraid that the lower part of this lure would not be damaged. So I bought a thin piece of 14" x 24" Plexiglas (from Amazon, of course) and placed it at the bottom of the window. It fits snug enough that I don't have to glue it because it's inside the frame about an inch from the window. I can just pull it out to dust it off and replace it. The taco baby is still trying to catch bugs until it runs out and hasn't fallen out or even scratched which surprised me a lot because I bought a cheap one thinking it would scratch and change every few months. Anyway, sorry to get carried away here, I tend to give a lot of details. BUT hey, isn't that better. I hope that was helpful.
