Review on 🐢 Carlson Elevated Dog Bed for Large Dogs - Indoor/Outdoor Dog Bed, Red Color by Paul Lawson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easily repairable if broken

This is one of the few foldable raised beds for large dogs. I bought 2 of these. They are great for transport as I like having a raised surface for my dog to sit on while exercising or when I'm exercising in the yard. It's great for camping because the dogs don't have to lie in the mud on the campsite. I'm still working on getting a slipcover that attaches (very few companies make them and most aren't the right size), so for now I've made one out of upholstery fabric. The downside to this bed is that I had already popped the rivets out of each bed's legs. They still work well, but if too many of these rivets fail, they become unusable. The fabric case feels durable and fits well. In fact, the problem lies only in the rivets that connect the folding legs. If those rivets hadn't come out I would have given 5 stars. Note: Cabelas offers a murphy bed that retails for just $10 more. Cabelas tend to offer a higher quality of their products so I would order this except it is square and not the rectangular shape I need for my space. *** UPDATE *** More rivets have been released. I found a repair solution using screws and locknuts. You want the thickest screws to go through the holes or they will bend and eventually snap from the stress of a 70 pound dog. I used a #8 button screw. 32x1 1/2. See photo.
