Preserves onions - easy to clean
These containers are excellent. I was looking for a glass container to store onions in the fridge. I've used it to store chopped onions for over a week and the smell never made it into the fridge. The opening is large enough to be cleaned easily, and the glass was odorless after thorough washing. I put the empty washed glass jar in the kitchen cupboard and I never smelled it when I opened the cupboard door. The O-ring looks like silicone. The seal is good, but after washing, the seal has a slight onion smell. I do not mind. For storing onions, this is much better than plastic containers or glass jars with plastic lids.
