Review on Motorcycle Viking Cycle Ironside XXXX Large Motorcycle & Powersports by Josh Hamler

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent airflow and quality construction.

I've only used it on one trip for about 2 hours so I can't comment on durability. But I will say that every piece in this jacket screams quality. Other people read the questions and said that this jacket had no lining, mine had thermal lining on the chest (sleeveless). I recently bought a pair of pants and a jacket that are both waterproof and breathable. Although they are both extremely waterproof, not a single drop was intercepted by a heavy downpour. The airflow claim I found was very misleading. I don't think you can have both in the same outfit. They work great in rain and cold weather, but the jacket gets very hot when the temperature is above 75F. So I went looking for a jacket with better air circulation and came across this one. I wasn't expecting much for the price but was very surprised by the quality. I would be satisfied if the jacket cost 3 times as much. It's so well done. If you're driving at any speed, it seems like you're wearing nothing but a t-shirt (I had one underneath). The temperature was under 70 and I was really cold when I was in the shade. Exactly what I was looking for. That thing lets so much air through. The labels say waterproof, they have to be pockets because if you get in the rain with them you'll get wet. But the jacket has 4 pockets which appear to be waterproof. Their lining appears to be made of rubberized material and they all have waterproof zippers. I wouldn't hesitate to store expensive electronics in it. I won't talk about the protection it offers, there are elbow and shoulder pads as well as protection for the spine. But I didn't sink wearing it, and I don't plan to do so in the future. But if you need something for travel on warm, dry days, I highly recommend this.

  • Quality construction
Cons
