I just changed the tires on my Triumph Speed Twin. About 4,000 miles earlier I had a nail in the rear tire and had to change the tyre. When I removed the tire and rim I put them on this wheel balancer and found that they were horribly balanced. After removing the tire and weights, I mounted the rim on this balancer and found that the heaviest segment of the rim was not on the valve stem but 5 inches from it. I mounted the Red Dot tire (the lightest part of the tire) on the heaviest part of the rim. When it came time to balance the tire/rim, very little weight was required and balancing was easy. When you're like me driving 130+ mph on the freeway, that kind of accuracy is a gift and can't be matched at a dealership. I am very happy with this balancer because I can make it better and with more care.
