REVlite sole only on Forefoot Under the ball of my foot I'd say these shoes are some of the most comfortable I've had from day one - no break in period but probably because I'm from NB 890v6. However, this is ridiculous. For a $100+ pair of shoes, I would expect the outsole material (REVlite) to show no visible damage after 1-2 5-mile runs on the pavement. By comparison I've had 890v6s for over a year and a half running at least every other day (too long I know) and the treads have ONLY worn down to the midsole. Pretty good life when wearing! Maybe it's just the outer layer of REVlite material that's peeling and then falling off, but it's looking pretty bad. My shoes tend to wear down the center of the ball of the foot so there is nothing there either. Just excessive wear and tear with almost every use. I expect 3-4 months at the most before the REVlite pads are completely gone and I lose outsole/forefoot traction. Maybe not, but we'll see. UPDATE 7/18/20: Blue footage is now fully smoothed after a month or 150 miles. The handle is gone. Terrible. I'm not sure what they were thinking, but 1 month to donate them to goodwill is insane. Please fix in v9
