Review on Dr Ph Martins 400869 XXX Calligraphy by Amanda Castillo

Very happy with this ink and the variety of colors in this set! Yes, the mica/glitter will settle to the bottom and you'll probably have to shake it several times each time to use it (make sure you shake it until everything in the bottle is smooth before using), but it's still more convenient than using a brush with metallic watercolors on a nib for a similar glossy effect, and I didn't have to dilute it at all to get a smooth flow from a permanent marker right out of the bottle. Shaking well and then straining a little into a delicious sauce will make the small jar easier to shake frequently while you work. It's acrylic based so wash your pen etc before it's completely dry if you don't want it to stay there! Some of my pipettes didn't work (I'll try to contact the manufacturer about this as at least three of my pipettes in this set were faulty) but the ink itself is excellent.
