Review on 🧩 Melissa & Doug Animal Sounds Puzzle by Noah Jess

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An easy puzzle for toddlers to learn about animal sounds. THERE IS AN ON/OFF SWITCH.

These jigsaw puzzles from Melissa & Doug were a hit in our home. These are great introductory puzzles for little hands to learn to manipulate objects and the sounds make things even more fun. As an educational toy, they are suitable for younger toddlers, but can also be fun and interesting for older toddlers. At our home, an almost 2 year old is learning to place the pieces and learning the sounds of each animal. (It's nice to have sounds outside of the baseline. Of course they recognize the sounds of farm animals from Old MacDonald, but it gives us a little more variety. Which is REALLY nice if you have toddlers who like to repeat something obnoxious ALL DAY ...LONG We have THREE jigsaw puzzles from this collection: cars, zoo and farm I would like to review them separately as I would give two of the three 5 star ratings As it is I have to give it 4 stars for a SMALL issue give This is entirely due to a design flaw in the particular piece we own.For some reason our zebra is easily bothered and sometimes makes random noises when the puzzle is left unattended on the table. This is the only piece of the three puzzles that does that , and it doesn't happen all the time, so I just shrug, especially since there's an on/off switch on the back (thanks to the designers, di e have done that. Sometimes I have to go a few minutes with no sound.) Another reviewer noted that you couldn't help but play the puzzle in silent mode. All the versions we own don't. I can turn these kids off at any time. When you place multiple fragments, there is a slight audio delay, so you don't hear the second fragment's audio until the first fragment's audio ends. This can be a little frustrating for toddlers when first using it, but I've found it helps them learn patience. After playing with these puzzles a few times, they will quickly learn the quirks. For us this is not a problem at all. Well, aside from our zebra poltergeist, I'm a believer in these mysteries. And hello. If you need an extra surprise during the day, the occasional animal noise might just add to your mood. They will travel many miles for our home and I am delighted to have them in our collection of toddler puzzles.
