Review on Carmex Lip balm Classic tube by Minju Gim ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for the price.

After some tossing (the cherry version was horrible in taste and smell), I decided to take the original version of the balm instead. I had the same balm, but it contained cherry. And I have to say that it is significantly better! It has an unpleasant smell, but it's not intolerable at all. The flavor is revolting, so it's best not to lick your lips after eating it; however, it's still preferable to cherry. In a figurative sense, this flavor and aroma is the offspring of the Fruit Kiss lip balm and the storied Golden Star lip balm (though, in all honesty, I haven't really consumed any of those). When it comes to the effectiveness of the product, however, none of this really matters because the original Carmex is an emergency lip balm. It is not good for everyday use (paradox: it begins to dry out the lips), but it is perfect for unexpected situations. It is worthwhile to apply it before bed since, in the morning, the lips are hydrated, do not peel off, and are free of cracks, despite the fact that in the evening, they appeared to be a cracked desert. Moreover, I use it a few hours before applying matte lipstick in order to reduce the drying effect that matte lipstick has on my lips; this helps a great deal.

Pros
  • Lips are healed while being moisturized, and the package is practical and cost-effective.
Cons
  • Scent, flavor.
