Review on 🎧 Sennheiser CX Plus TW1 Black Earbuds by Mega ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with the product, it is made well, the price is also pleasing.

Support aptX and aptX Adaptive. I have aptX and aptX HD in my phone, respectively, it connects to aptX. In this mode, mp3 320kbps sounds very good, the sound is clear, the instruments are clearly distinguishable, there are enough lows, the top is not bad; Basically, it's hard to complain. But when playing flac, not everything is so rosy anymore, additional noises and a slight rattle at the top are added. I hope that when I switch to aptX Adaptive (when I change my phone), everything will change. They sit pretty well in the ears, but after Jabra they are not so confident, there is a feeling that they can fall out. Includes 4 sizes of ear pads XS, S, M, L; personally, I installed L on the left, M on the right, but I need to find something in between. The cover is solid and simple, it has already begun to scratch, but in general this does not bother me. Nothing more to add to it. The headphone control is touch-sensitive, in principle, nothing special: Next and previous tracks, volume +/-, play / pause, "all-encompassing audibility", voice assistant, noise reduction, accept / end and reject a call. The equalizer has two adjustment options - three sliders (useless in my opinion) and "touch setting" (maybe someone will like it) you can create your own settings from the standard Podcast, Movie and Bass Boost. The "all-encompassing audibility" mode, also known as the transparency mode, is generally not bad, but well-audible noises appear. The noise reduction mode, as you can guess from the previous paragraph, leaves much to be desired. Completely ambient noise does not extinguish, sometimes it works somehow "torn"; in the Aeroexpress, then it jams everything, then half; in the aircraft as a whole, the hum is heard constantly, but not as loud as without noise reduction. In the talk mode, in principle, it extinguished the noise of the street, the noise of pouring water from the tap, the interlocutors did not hear any of this. But there were a couple of times that the interlocutor complained about noises that did not exist in my environment (maybe just interference, he did not detect it).

Pros
  • Headphones Sennheiser CX PLUS TW1 Black are generally good headphones. Very decent sound for wireless headphones. This is not the sound of good wired headphones, but you should not expect mega sound from wireless ones at the moment.
Cons
  • - All headphone settings are made through the Smart Control application. To the application and software, in principle, there are questions. Half of the start screen is occupied by a useless picture, there are not many settings in general. There is no normal indication of the current operating mode: noise reduction, transparency mode, which codec is used. - These headphones can only be connected to one device at a time. The application remembers all the devices with which the headphones are synchronized. To switch from one device to another, you need to turn off the bluetooth of the first one and only after that the headphones will automatically (if you're lucky) switch to another device with which it is synchronized if Bluetooth is enabled, if not, then connect manually. You can also select the device to which you want to connect the headphones in the application on the phone, but here there are occasional blunting and a long search for the device. I have synchronized with PC, laptop, phone and TV. And the inability to use PC/laptop and phone at the same time is frustrating; the previous Jabra headset was able to do this, which greatly improved usability. - Noise suppression

Some pros: Excellent sound quality. The earbuds fit snugly in your ears and don't fall out. Touch control and transparency mode. Has some cons Noise isolation could be better, but this is solved by careful selection of the size of silicone earplugs for your ear.
