They are great for the price. I've mainly used them at home and in the office to set up phones and small tablets for listening or viewing. The magnets are strong enough to hold my phones (Galaxy S7 Edge, iPhone 6s) and a small tablet (8.4" Galaxy Tab S 1st Gen) with a single magnet. All my phones have pop sockets and the magnets can work with metal plates attached to the inside of the popsockets under a plastic cover.
