Durable and colorful.
I bought these to entertain my grandchildren when they recently arrived from a far state. I bought them and the original metal version of this toy. As children learned to "walk" down stairs with these toys, these cheap plastic versions "walked" better than the original metal versions. A child at a party tangled a toy but a patient adult (not me) untangled the toy, no harm.
