I was looking for a keyboard case for the iPad 12.9 that can work in portrait mode. I have no idea why expensive brands like Apple or Logitech never did this - I would buy in a heartbeat no matter the price. That's one of the main reasons people like me buy an iPad - to process text in the most logical mode - in portrait mode. Otherwise I would have gotten an even cheaper notebook. So let's get started - this is the most fashionable 12.9 keyboard case that can work with it vertically. Small good quality for the price. Yes, the retractable part is pretty loose and most likely won't last all that long. The keyboard doesn't look that fancy. But hey - I can make full use of it with my iPad in portrait mode for typing, and nothing else, not even Apple's almost 4 times more expensive. The only major problem with this case is opening it. I thought I was doing it wrong but the instructions didn't say anything about how to do it right. I don't know why the designers left out such an obvious detail. It takes a long fingernail and some skill to easily open the case. It would be much better without the useless stylus, but with a good button to open the damn case. Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that annoying "feature" you have to use every time you need an iPad.
