I'm not sure what to say about this item as it's just a piece (plastic?) that sits on my desk and holds my laptop in one position That angle appears much better than when the laptop is lying flat. Gravity holds the laptop securely in place, and removing it from the stand is a breeze—unplugging connected cables takes longer. I appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of the design. I have a desktop and my layout is a laptop on the left, a monitor on the right, and an external keyboard + trackpad on the bottom tier. This stand holds my open laptop at a height and angle that matches the height of the other monitor, which is said to reduce stress and prevent me from having to constantly "look down" at the laptop screen. My laptop stands out a bit from the desk and allows me to use the space under the laptop for storage when I need it. For what it's worth, you don't really need it if you keep your laptop closed and only use an external display. Also, it would be difficult to use the keyboard and trackpad/touchpad on an open laptop if it were on this stand, so you really need the right setup for this to be useful to you.
