We are in Florida and had a tree cut down on our property last summer so we are in the hot sun all day. We bought this umbrella to reduce sun and heat. That's incredible! Our RV stays much cooler reducing the need for air conditioning. We dismantle and dismantle the awning in strong winds. The only downside is that you have to move the curtain to remove it. I've seen other brands with a 3ft zip that allows people of limited height like me to do it on their own without climbing a stool.
