If you don't need higher resolution or prefer HDMI instead, please see my complaint. I've been looking for a quality dock that supports a USB-C powered Displayport, USB-C, and 3.1 Gen 2 capabilities without having to shell out over $300 just for the privilege. I thought this block would suit my needs. Unfortunately I was wrong. The maximum resolution I can get is 2560 x 1440 at 59 Hz with screen flicker. So back to the drawing board. For those who don't have such requirements, this is a good device. If I didn't need DP support I would leave that or leave the device without a DP port. It has plenty of USB ports, including an SD card reader, and the best part is that it comes with its own power adapter, so you don't have to constantly plug in your laptop's power cord. My only gripe is that I wish it had at least one USB 3.1 port on the back so I can plug it into my monitor's hub and keep it out of sight. It's a small thing, but aesthetics count. Overall I would recommend it with the above caveats.
