Review on Stalwart PT1008 Metal, Live Wire, and Stud Detector - 3-in-1 Tool by Jonathan Deaver
Not reliable enough for accurate reading
Based on my observations, this metal live wire detector is not dependable enough for accurate readings. While it does have a handy LED light indicating detection, it often misses live wires and gives false readings on non-metal objects. The only pro is its compact size, but that's hardly worth it if it's not providing reliable results. Overall, I wouldn't trust this product for any serious electrical work.
- Reliably detects live wires behind walls and ceilings
- Difficult to use if not familiar with electrical wiring
