This product saves lives. I'm not sure how accurate the temp gauge is, but when I set it I just start on the lowest setting and increase it as the water runs until I reach a comfortable temperature. This is easy on your hands and anyone else who may have slow reflexes. With these devices you can keep your water heater at a temperature that is safe for bacteria without burning yourself or others! They are *super* strong. I have 3 installed and will be installing them on every toilet. For DIY, mount these on the hot water side of your faucet - leave a cold water line. You separate the cold water line (you can fit a check valve if you want) on one side of it and the hot water line on the other side. The outlet goes to your hot water line at your faucet.
