CONSTANT WATER TEMPERATURE - These Thermostatic Mixing valves are the safety feature preventing scalding water. LEAK-FREE CONSTRUCITON-one-piece STURDY BRASS body ensures no leaking. TIPS: the temperature markings have very little bearing on reality. So this must be calibrated if you're looking for an accurate temperature.

Leakage at the threaded connection. did not produce hot water. NO INSTRUCTIONS

No instructions to begin with. It's pretty basic, so installing it wasn't a problem. The big problem is that it was leaked from one of the threads. I made sure that the gasket was installed correctly. I used a large pipe wrench to see if I could tighten it more, but the tightest I could do was still drip a little. It is enough to leave a puddle in a day. I also set it as hot as possible and it was barely warm. This thing may work for some applications but not for a water heater.

A must have for seniors, people with kids or pets - works great!

This product saves lives. I'm not sure how accurate the temp gauge is, but when I set it I just start on the lowest setting and increase it as the water runs until I reach a comfortable temperature. This is easy on your hands and anyone else who may have slow reflexes. With these devices you can keep your water heater at a temperature that is safe for bacteria without burning yourself or others! Perfect valve with no burns

This thermostatic mixing valve works great and was easy for me to install. For 10 years I had a badly adjusted Kohler sink faucet that scalded me many, many times. I wanted to lower the temperature of the water in the water heater, but temperatures below 140 degrees Fahrenheit can cause bacterial growth in the tank.
