. We purchased Specter Performance 5260 Chrome Small Block Chevy Center Bolt Valve Caps for our '88 Chevy Camaro. Since the valve cover description says a 1-1/4" oil filler plug will fit these caps, we ordered an Edelbrock 4415 chrome filler plug to match our air cleaner. It WILL NOT FIT - too loose, just falls out. When we looked at the problem we tried Mr. Gasket 9815 because it has a flared end (actually wider than 1.25"), but it WILL NOT FIT - the flared end doesn't go far enough to fit through the long filler hole. The Specter's oil filler hole -Valve cap is actually 1.31". It is smart for the Specter to do this, which is why you will need to purchase their plugs, which have an extended stem to get past their filler neck. These valve caps require an extra length of Specter filler plug or their billet plug. .
