Review on πŸ”Œ Cable Matters HDMI Extender Wall Mount (TCP/IP Support) for 1-to-Many Setup - Up to 300 Feet via Ethernet Cable by Charles Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The transmitter and 3 out of 5 receivers failed within 2-4 years. DO NOT BUY!

Update from 05/20/20: Today the transmitter also failed. This works well when it works, but products are prone to failure. So far I have had a total of 4 receivers and one transmitter failure over a period of 4 years. If you can afford to replace them every 2-4 years, you can buy them. ============================================== = === === I had a transmitter along with 4 receivers with a TP-LINK (TL-SG105) 5-port Gigabit Ethernet desktop switch. It was easy to install and worked well to meet our needs. 3 out of 4 worked fine and the 4th didn't work from the start (very often total loss of image). Until recently, I blamed the TV when the second one also started to fail. I started seeing flickers and blackouts every few seconds, making it impossible to see anything. I've bought several cable products over the years and am a huge fan of them so I've never had any doubts about their quality. After months of checking my network, power supplies, and troubleshooting, it finally dawned on me yesterday that I once polled the receivers, and that was the problem. I replaced it with a working one and it works with no issues. I'm frustrated with 50% rejection within 2 years and 25% rejection from the start. I understand the warranty is 1 year but what about the quality of the product itself? It's not what I expected from cables and I'm tired of buying their products. If you are in the market for HDMI over CAT6 then go elsewhere as you don't want me on my boat in 2 years time.
