It was just plug and play when I figured out how to press the power button on the receiver! Just connect an HDMI output on one end and an HDMI input on the other end and it works perfectly! I was pleased with the delay, for me it is indistinguishable from the local one. The display is also very clear, I'm typing this on my computer right now! There are a number of settings that you can configure over WiFi. See the manual for details. AirPlay support was an unexpected bonus! A few quibbles, the included cables are a bit short. The device supports 4k, but only 30P, not HDMI 2.0b. While it appears to support 1080P HDCP (copy protection), I don't expect it to work with 4k HDCP. For my purposes, I'm routing from a computer, so this isn't an issue, but it might be an issue if you want to stream copy-protected 4K movies.
