Review on Bulova B1975 Chadbourne Walnut Old World Clock: Timeless Elegance and Old-World Charm in One by Anthony Colton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

HAS A VERY INTENSIVE CLEAR "HIGH QUALITY " HOUR BELL.

Only one personal preference disappoints, but the first one. The price was very cheap compared to the rest, but the mixed reviews bothered me. I generally stick to a rational rule of thumb; "You get what you pay for," but this time I defied my sanity and took the plunge as my budget was tight. I was positively surprised. It literally took a few minutes to set up, very easy and of course the anticipation of hearing the chimes was exciting. Sure, I thought the chime would sound like one of those cheap musical greeting cards like one review said, but. "WRONG!" Mine has a VERY rich, clean, DEEP, raspy sound that sounds like the most expensive ones. "HOORAY"! ! ! ! However, my only disappointment on a personal level was. he "doesn't" have a "constant" tick-tock noise all day. :>(Some people prefer that, but I don't. I really wanted that charming, cozy perpetual tick like staying at Grandma's exquisite, quiet farmhouse. Other than that, I'm VERY happy with this watch for the price. and it's a nice touch too. gold (not silver) accents. Not tacky. The chime has your choice of volume control. From very soft to VERY LOUD, and I mean LOUD! You can control the chime to automatically turn off when Needed (2)" C" batteries for the chime and (1) "AA" batteries for the clock (not included) PERFECT timing I'm very picky, but this time I'm very pleased.
