I ordered a 4xl after listening to the advice in some of the comments. Good fit for me. I'm 5'11 in an obese body type (I also have a beer belly). My clothing sizes are usually US 2xl. The 4xl vest fits loosely with the shirt which I prefer. This 4xl vest is similar in size to the 2XL size Bass Pro Shop RedHead Camo Dove vest. I have both vests. I mainly use RedHead in very hot weather. But I'll use this Milwaukee vest if I want to show them the patches. If you are also 2xl but have a more appropriate build, I think 2xl or 3xl will do for you. Just adjust the side laces.
