We've had this chair for over a year now and it's just as durable as day one. Elegant design and durable construction. woman's vanity. It is occasionally used by other family members, so I can attest to its reliability. Although probably not necessary, we put a sturdy piece of acrylic underneath to avoid damaging the wooden floors. Customer service is also excellent. My original order had an issue with the leg not screwing into the base. No problem, sent it back and got a new one. The seat has a protective plastic cover. We left it in to preserve the "novelty" of the fabric.
