This is a leap forward in terms of image quality provided by similar devices. While there is some ISO noise at maximum zoom, image quality is top-notch. I found it easy to resolve details as small as 0.01mm (0.4k) in diameter. The included base is okay, not perfect, quite usable. You can download additional stands from the Thingiverse website if you need a more flexible mounting solution. Another interesting point is that when using the device at low magnification, you can keep the lens cap on and still get a reasonably sharp image. This is useful when soldering or other work where the lens might be exposed to dirt. The images are 3D printed PLA impregnated with carbon fiber, a letter on a Kindle screen, and microscopic bubbles in wheat beer. The camera supports MJPEG, H.264 and YUV422 formats. encoding and has a maximum resolution of 1440p, which is better than the promised 1080p!
