This 23 inch ultra wide light is a very good bright work light, almost the perfect work light I was hoping for. direct light on the worktop of my hobby. The brightness is completely sufficient for detail work in the hobby. 4 brightness levels: nice touch. I don't need it always on the highest settings. For example, last night I was happy to only use it at medium brightness as I was planning some kind of hobby. - Long Swing Arm: You can place the lamp head where you want. I use a card table that is about 35" x 35". The lamp is clamped on the edge opposite my seating position. I position the lamp head directly over my work and the bottom of the swing arm is still vertical. STURDY TABLE CLAMP: The clamp is surprisingly heavy and durable. When the lamp is installed, there is no fragility. Very reliable. This is an LED: at maximum brightness, it consumes only 24 watts and does not heat up. I can make him work all night for a penny. - Good workmanship: I don't know about the quality of the internal components. But in general, the lamp is very durable and of high quality. I am very happy. CONS: - Clamp size: While the clamp is of excellent quality and allows for the use of a very thick table top, the distance between the sides between the clamp screw and the clamp frame is small (in my opinion) and may mean some users won't be able to attach it to their tabletop. I had a VERY difficult time attaching it to my chart table which has a lightweight tubular steel frame around the underside of the table. I had to remove the swivel head from the clamp screw and then put it back on once the screw was past the table frame. Hardly done! I don't know if this will work with some Revain folding tables and office supply stores for example because they have quite a thick molded rim. A NOTICE. The light from this lamp is slightly bluish-white. Now I realize I'm just not used to the color temperature of "daylight" (screw in a "daylight" lightbulb somewhere in your house; you'll see what I mean in a moment). That's good light. It's just a little different than what I'm used to. All in all I am very happy to have found this lamp. It fits perfectly on my hobby table. This gives me good, bright work lighting. I can recommend it.
