Not what you think you'll get, but still very good.

When you see an advertisement for this type of mount, you probably have unrealistic expectations of what you're going to get. Commercials are typically designed for 3,000 lumens of light. If you have two clean white cars in a pristine empty garage with all white walls, ceiling and garage doors you may get the results shown in the ad, but who has a pristine white garage with only two clean white cars? That? I consciously went for a higher lumen unit and got this unit with 6000 lumens. It illuminates the garage well under the light and at a decent distance from the light, but the corners and ceiling are still dim. If you have objects on the walls (garden tools, brooms, snow shovels, bicycles, workshop tools, ladders, etc.) the walls will appear a bit darker as there are few reflections from the walls. If I had to do it again, I'd go for even higher lumens - something in the 8000 lumen range or more, and maybe something with four light panels instead of three. I have a 3 car garage, the walls are insulated and drywall finished but not painted white. The ceiling is unpainted plywood and there are lots of tools and other things hanging on the walls. Other than that I'm happy with what I got and can say I got good value for money.
