Just the tool I always need for the job and without the bulky power cords. I've burned three or four traditional network punches in the past, really good ones from Ryobi, Milwaukee, and Craftsman. They fried after spending several hours drilling a relatively small number of holes in concrete, even with careful use. This DeWalt SDS tool is exactly what the drill doctor ordered. Even though it's a big investment I would recommend getting the SDS Plus dust bag that comes with this one. No mess, no masks/respirators, no waiting and no wires. You only get holes. The combination makes you want to find brick/concrete only to keep drilling to see if it's real or if you're dreaming, even if you run out of holes. Shopping spree. The prices for these are a real investment if you are not a construction professional. But even if you need a long-term "guardian" for these projects around the house, you can just get started.
