Although not double layered, these towels are a great solution for many cleaning jobs around the home. We now use them to wash dishes and cutlery that cannot be cleaned in the dishwasher. We finally got rid of the sponges, which turned gray and seemed to pick up dirt as they did their job in the kitchen sink. These towels are always fresh and clean, they are built to last, they can even be rinsed and dried so they will last through multiple washes. Also great for the top of the stove, oven, fridge and any spills that happen anywhere. We use them to clean and oil kitchen cabinets and other natural wood furniture. Highly recommended.
