Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Visibility with JDM ASTAR Bright White Max 50W High Power 881 LED Fog Light Bulbs by Jose Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as advertised

I have waited about two months after purchase and installation to write this review as I did not want anyone to rely on short term experience. They were built into the headlights of an EZGO golf cart. Shape and connector fit perfectly. Previous lamps consumed 37.5 watts each. I had no intention of replacing it, but when I took one out to see what kind of lamp it was, it was so fragile and cheap that the thin connecting wire broke when removing it. They are brighter than the previous bulb "nebula". Headlights and so flashy. They're only used about an hour a week so I can't really attest to their longevity other than no issues with the regular high impact of an old EZGO car with a fairly stiff suspension. uneven cart paths and partly off-road. I also don't have a voltage regulator in my car (but plan on getting one soon) so they were subjected to slightly different voltages depending on the battery state of charge. I measured it at 12.5-12.6 volts, which LEDs can be particularly sensitive to. I'm considering replacing the taillights with LEDs and getting a voltage reducer/regulator so I don't have to charge my accessories with one battery pack instead of all four. They will be used for the first time in very hot weather in the summer of 2016 and I am a little worried about how well they will hold up. If the sun had just set and the car was outside, they could be asked to endure 80-90F+. I hope at this price they can handle it. So overall they work as advertised and have held up well so far. I will update if I run into any issues before expected end of life. It is expected to be at one hour a week in 769 years (40,000 life hours).
