This case replaces another keyboard case (one with a detachable magnetic keyboard) that I previously bought and am now returning to Revain. ProCase is far ahead of its predecessor in terms of design and quality. The "strong" ProCase seems to be very well made and promises good protection for my iPad 10.2 should I drop it (which of course I try to avoid!). The hinge between the keyboard part and the iPad itself is very solid, a bit stiff but not uncomfortable, and holds the iPad securely in any position (iPad doesn't sag at all when typing on the keyboard, for example). or walking around holding the iPad by either the keyboard or the screen). The hinge allows you to rotate the iPad 360 degrees; If you rotate it 180 degrees and fold the iPad back over the keyboard, you can use the iPad without a keyboard. The iPad fits perfectly into the hard plastic clamshell case, the corners and back are protected all around and all openings for speakers, headphones, power plugs, etc. are precisely aligned. On first use, the keyboard is quick and easy to pair with the iPad via Bluetooth, and once paired, there is no need to re-pair it if it "disconnects" after a long period (several minutes) of non-use. . (Just turn the keyboard on/off and the keyboard will instantly reconnect to the iPad and the onscreen keyboard will disappear.) The keyboard has excellent key action. I'm bad at typing ("Writing" was my only summer school class in high school, and my urge to get out of that classroom as soon as possible and go to the beach every school day prevented me from learning to type well. Sixty years after that teaching experience, I still type (looking at the keyboard, not using proper fingering, etc.) so I can't really judge how well this keyboard will serve a competent, fast typist. However, I suspect very well. The keyboard has a muted purple backlight, which is very pleasing to the eye and useful when typing, as I do, looking in low light. If I have one complaint, and it's more of a critical comment than a complaint, it's that the keyboard/iPad combo is noticeably heavier. It weighs slightly more than my previous iPad 9.7 with a similar (but different brand) hard keyboard case. But I don't find the weight bothersome when I put my keyboard/iPad on my lap. It gives the impression of a solid laptop. Overall I am very happy with ProCase. This is a super duper keyboard case! And I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
