Best Holy Stone drone yet

This is the best Holy Stone drone I've played with so far. Mind you, we're still in the sub-$400 price bracket, so this isn't a DJI Mavic, but it does have some great features for the money. When you open the box you will see that everything is compactly packed in a carrying case, which is great for travel. . The drone looks well made and not cheap plastic. The arms of the drone fold out and lock into place very easily by unfolding the front arms first. There is a microSD slot for a memory card (up to 128GB). Batteries slide and lock securely. The charger (see photo) is a bit strange. It has a high-voltage USB-C cable and a fold-out clip that holds two batteries, but only charges one at a time. A fast blinking light lets you know which one is charging. Meanwhile, the controller is powered by 2 x AA batteries. Pairing is about the same as other Holy Stone drones, requires gyroscope calibration and GPS lock, but the light is easier to see. There are 4 LED indicators on the back of the drone that visually indicate the battery level (also displayed on the controller screen or in the Ophelia GO app). Taking off and landing is pretty easy with one touch buttons for both. 50ft for its return-to-home capability, unlike others that have shot up to 100ft. The main feature of this drone is improved image stabilization. Please note that this is not a gimbal replacement, but initial testing shows that it smoothes out some judder and twitch when you move the drone. See the attached raw video for an example. I moved the drone from side to side and shifted the image a bit to adjust, but you don't usually see a slight shake. Along with these gimballess drones. In the video you can see the drone descending while maintaining the GPS position, you see a nice and smooth descent. Even if you're shooting straight into the sunset you can still see a pretty decent dynamic range view and the video quality is greatly improved in 4K. The Ophelia GO software seemed to work fine on my 8-inch Samsung tablet (visibility is better than my tiny phone), but there are some glitches in the software. From time to time the first person view freezes and says 'disabled' although I can still see flight status and control movement through the app. The lesson here is to use the controller to move and use the app to take photos. I haven't tried the follow me mode or orbit mode, but I think they work pretty much like previous drones, with the added bonus of image stabilization. .This will be my favorite drone for now!
