I received this beautiful tea bottle in a beautifully packaged faux bamboo cylinder. Everything looked high quality, with nice engraving on the glass. I washed it in warm soapy water and laid it on a silicone mat to dry. He fell immediately and the outer glass shattered into multiple splinters. I was very surprised how fragile it is. He fell onto the soft rubber mat, but that didn't stop him from pulling away from the end. Luckily it was blown against the wall so the pieces didn't scatter all over my floor. I know it's glass but I was expecting it to be a bit thicker and stronger. I had a glass cover on the same mat and it didn't break. I don't know how something so fragile can withstand everyday use as a tea dispenser. UPDATE: I was surprised to receive the package today because I had no pending verification. deliveries. I received a new tea bottle and a nice note from Laura apologizing for the problem and saying that it was most likely already damaged in transit. I have washed it and taken care not to fall off it, and I look forward to enjoying it for a long time. The customer service is fantastic and exceeded all expectations. I didn't ask for a replacement but the company kindly sent it anyway. I would definitely buy from them again just because of the great customer service and they stand behind their product. The bottle is nice and looks solid and I will enjoy it every day at work with my daily tea indulgence.
