These chairs come ready to use. I am 5"8, 140 pounds and the width is fine with me, but the length is right on the cusp of being too short. I also like a lounge chair that comes at least a few inches above my head. When I am laying on this chair, the chair is just long enough for my body and the width would not be adequate for a person who is larger.Are the chairs sturdy? Yes, they are. I moved around and never felt the chair was going to break. Once the headrest is locked in place, it does not move until you move it. However, the hooks are rubber so not sure how long they will last. I wish they were metal but at least they aren't plastic.My partner is 6'2" and he walked outside, took one look at the chair, and said, it's a little short isn't it?At his height, I am certain that his feet are going to hang off by about 3-4 inches. It will work but a longer, wider chair would be much better.
