The touch is soft, the blade is sharp, the design is simple, the device is light and relatively safe to use and clean. The grooves on the bottom for the edge of the bowl are practical. Also, I have some issues, starting with the price. Judging by the photos, the green parts of the food stand are nice, grippy silicone rubber; You are not. Just smooth, slippery plastic, like the rest of the device except for the blade. This is a disappointment at this price point as I could have gotten an equally good one at the dollar store. Also, I think it's fair to point out that while the packaging says "Austria;" the bottom of the gun says "Made in China." It's small with a blade width of less than 3.5 inches, but that biggest problem is the blade adjustment slider moves too easily and LOCKS all the hair past the thickest position and you'll play double HE hockey stick to unlock it without damaging the damn thing.(had to be careful pry open with a screwdriver; no Bueno) (barely) suitable for household use; if you need more than the three thicknesses available, or for cutting items 3.5" and up, look elsewhere.
