Bought because my car doesn't have GPS or Bluetooth and my phone has a simple flat connector. I then attached a sticky suction cup and waited 24 hours before attaching my phone to it. I love that it rotates for convenient viewing of the screen to search for GPS or quickly switch music without having to operate the phone itself. It's been running for a couple of weeks with no issues and has held up great through the heatwave when the car easily hits 140 degrees in direct sunlight. My pop socket is the perfect type with no bezels or raised edges to fit in and hold securely. I admit if you make too sharp a turn the momentum and gravity will knock the phone out of the pop socket mount, but knowing about this only encourages you to take turns slightly. It's easy to dock day or night and won't block any air vents.
