Pockets, elastic and soft fabric! This size fits both my plump 6 year old who is 85 pounds and my slim/tall 9 year old who is 75 pounds. Sure it's a bit long for a younger kid, but nothing that can't be adjusted! They would wear them every day without washing them if I let them. I definitely plan to buy more!
