I had high hopes for this. I live in an apartment and bought it to cover the metal shelves in one of my closets. The shelves had paint on them and was stained. They looked dirty and tacky, and I wanted a nice clean look and wanted something that would wipe clean easily. I cleaned the shelves twice just to make sure I was getting off all the dust and dirt. It stuck pretty well in some places but in other areas it just will not stick no matter how hard I press with a wallpaper squeegee. And if you put too much pressure on it it wants to tear. Wish now I had just decided to repaint the shelves.Update: After working with this shelf paper for awhile, I have discovered that in order to get it to stick properly, you need to use the squeegee at the same time that you lay down the paper. When I did that I was able to get out the air bubbles, and it stuck much better. So now that I have been more satisfied with it, I plan on buying more. I am pleased with how well it blends in if you have to use more than one sheet to cover the area. You would never know it wasn't just one piece.
