Review on 💻 Vantec USB 3.0 SATA IDE Adapter ISA225 by Eli Saumell

I have this kit with some 2.5"/3.5" IDE drives and a 2.5" SATA drive connected to Linux Mint 19.1 and it worked Great! The accompanying booklet is very well designed and illustrated. What they say about no drivers needed is spot on. You simply connect your drive according to the diagrams in the brochure and you're good to go. Since the various drives I used had many different operating systems, I had to process them with gparted before they were mounted. So if you are recovering data from a drive, you may need to massage the drive beforehand. , depending on the operating system and hardware platform you want to install it on. The materials and build quality of all components in the kit were good. I can only give an account of the durability over time. All in all a great kit for rescuing old IDE drives!
