Review on πŸ” Enhanced SEO: OXO Good Grips Extendable Aluminum Pole Caddy by Leslie Broussard

Chunky, doesn't sit flush with the corner and isn't entirely stable

I've had a number of corner showers over the years and most of them have been pretty terrible. That's why I've been using a Command (adhesive) shower tray for a number of years. Having needed more space lately I thought I'd try the corner car again and the OXO seemed like the right fit for me. I have to say that it was very easy to assemble and install. It features an internal ratchet system that keeps the bar balanced - if you lengthen the bottom of the bar, the top will lengthen by the same amount. However, the downside here is that the bar is very large. Although it looks like it can hold a lot of weight, it is very thick. Also, the thickness of the rod and the shape of the tie rod ends (oval) means that the rod does not fit completely into the corner. So you can expect about 1/2 - 1 inch of unused space between shelves and walls. Unfortunately, the problem is compounded by the fact that the middle section of the shelf (where the shelves attach) has a lot of play. This means that when you take things off shelves or put them on shelves, they flex and wiggle and wiggle (especially side to side) a bit. I use self-adhesive backed shelves that mount directly to the walls. I can get almost the same capacity but with wobble and no stand.
