Who would have thought that socks made mostly of synthetic yarn would be better for your feet if you're prone to athlete's foot? I didn't do this until I googled a foot problem I had a while back. I'm a fan of wool socks, but I've found that they retain more moisture against the skin when worn throughout the day. I bought these socks to use exclusively for my 5 days a week, about 1.5 hour walk the dog. They are soft to the touch and fit well, but I wouldn't say they offer great arch support. This is not a problem for me as I have orthopedic insoles. I combine wearing these socks with the appropriate healing foot cream and powder. I already noticed the difference literally in 3 days after the change. I don't know how long these socks will last since I've just started using them, but the price is low enough that I'm not worried.
